Frequently asked questions

The questions I'm asked most often, before starting a path together. If something's missing, write to me: I answer personally.

What is Counseling in Cammino, really

Counseling in Cammino is a professional helping relationship that takes place while walking in nature. It isn't psychotherapy, and it isn't sports coaching: it's a path toward awareness, clarity and transformation.

Movement makes it easier to talk, nature opens your perspective, the pace of walking steadies your breath. It's a simple, profound way to come back to yourself.

Who is it for

For anyone going through a time of transition, confusion, difficult choices, or emotional and mental blocks. For anyone living with stress, overload, or a lack of direction. For anyone who feels that "talking while seated" isn't enough. For anyone who wants to find their rhythm, breath and space again.

Do I need to be fit?

No. The pace is slow and gentle, adjusted to the person. This isn't trekking or sport: it's mindful walking, suited to everyone.

What happens in a session

We walk at a natural pace. Conversation opens up without hurry. Listening, speaking, pauses and observation alternate. The session closes with a brief final integration.

Each meeting is a small journey: simple, essential, profound.

Where do sessions take place

In easy, accessible natural settings: parks, gentle trails, light woodland. Places that allow for silence, safety and continuity.

How long does a path last

Usually 6-10 sessions, one every one or two weeks. It's a short path, focused on the present and on concrete change.

What happens if it rains

Three options:

  • we walk anyway, if the rain is light
  • we reschedule the session
  • we hold it in a sheltered place

Nature teaches flexibility: the path doesn't stop.

Is it suited to someone preparing for a real Camino?

Yes. It helps release fears, clarify motivations, and build presence and pace. It's ideal for anyone planning the Camino de Santiago, the Via Francigena, or other spiritual routes.

Is it psychological therapy?

It isn't a clinical treatment: it doesn't involve diagnosis, and it doesn't treat serious psychological disorders. It's a path of personal growth, not a therapeutic treatment.

It doesn't replace psychologists or psychotherapists: it's a different, complementary path.

How do I take the first step

You book an initial meeting: a short, get-to-know-you conversation where I listen to your story, we define your goal, and decide together the pace of the path.

How are the conversations I share with you handled?

Everything you share during our meetings stays confidential. This isn't clinical therapy, but the same basic rule of every helping relationship applies: what you say stays between us, and isn't shared with anyone.

The only exception is when the law requires me to act (serious risk to you or to others). For contact details and the website form, see the privacy policy.
